This National Guard position is for a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (RECRUITMENT & PLACEMENT/COMP, Position Description Number T5042000 and is part of the FL HRO, National Guard.

AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Service "under the authority of Title V, P.L. 114-328, Sections 932 and 1084 (FY17 NDAA)", and is open to US citizens interested in helping the Department of the Army meet our mission requirements in the area of federal recruitment and staffing.

As a Human Resources Specialist (Recruitment and Placement) GS-0201-09, you will provide advice and support to managers, supervisors, and the Human Resources Officer on recruitment and placement matters for a variety of professional, administrative, technical and clerical occupations GS-09 and below and for wage grade occupations WG-10 and below. Assist in planning and administering the merit promotion and recruitment/placement program. Identify appropriate qualification standard to be applied, validate hire authority, develop position announcements, locate position applicants, develop candidate evaluation criteria and evaluate candidate eligibility, and refer qualified candidates for selection consideration. Review and verify information on requests for vacancy announcements to assure correctness. Provide advice on military technician compatibility issues and delegated personnel authorities.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:GS-09 must have at least one year experience at the GS-07 level, in the normal line of progression through federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that involved the administering, delivering, maintaining, advising, and of adapting recruitment and placement concepts, principles, and theories of Human Resources to federal staffing organizational, management, and mission requirements.


Have at least 2 full years of progressively higher graduate education leading to such a relateddegree or a LL.B or J.D., Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.


Possess a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to the required experience.
