Perform diagnostic PET/CT and computed tomography examinations to ensure the quality and continuity of patient care to include: injection of radiopharmaceutical and/or IV contrast, the administration of oral contrast, protocol setup, patient positioning, reconstruction and network image transfers
Understands the contraindications associated with the administration of IV contrast, be able to recognize possible reactions and know the procedure to follow in case of a reaction
Provides protection for patient and self in accordance with radiation safety standards
Assist with the workflow of the department to ensure the completion of work assignments
Demonstrate knowledge, understanding, and competency in clinical area of the practice
Demonstrate the ability to use all channels of communication to address inter- and intradepartmental concerns, solve problems, and address conflict
Other duties as assigned
Qualified candidates will have:
PET/CT and Nuclear Medicine experience is required
CNMT or ARRT (N) is required, ARRT (CT) is required
State license is required
CPR certification is required
IV Skills required
Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program with at least 1 year of PET/CT and Diagnostic experience
Other Skills and Abilities
- Familiarity with current software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
