Performs laboratory testing of patient specimens in one or more sections of the laboratory.
Performs diagnostic/analytic testing of specimens. Interprets, documents and reports test results.
Performs quality control testing, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
Verifies analytic accuracy, precision, sensitivity and references ranges for test methods.
Serves as a resource to staff as needed.
Assists in the training of employees, students and others under the direction of the Technical Specialist or Manager.
Maintains technical and clinical expertise in all technical areas (as assigned) and demonstrates appropriate interpersonal and communication skills.
Participates in Quality Assurance and Performance improvement activities.
Riverside Referral Desk only - Provides reference testing expertise and support to Outreach Staff, internal/external clients, including nursing and physicians. Monitors the Reference lab interface and pending log taking corrective action as needed.
Licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientist credentialed from the Florida Department of Health, licensure or eligible in hematology and chemistry; FL licensed in all disciplines preferred.
Accredited Clinical Laboratory Training program required
- 1+ years Medical Technologist experience in a Generalist role preferred.
