General Dynamics Mission Systems Transit Protection Program Support Specialist in Kings Bay, Georgia
Bachelor's of Science degree or Technology degree, a related specialized area or field is required (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree.
Applicants must meet the eligibility requirements for a controlled billet in accordance with DoD Instruction 5210.42 Nuclear Weapons Personnel Reliability Program (PRP).
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:Department of Defense SECRET security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position
General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Transit Protection Program Support Specialist. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:Assist in proofreading, validating and finalizing instructions, notices, memorandums, PowerPoints, white papers and other divisional correspondence.
Prepare classified correspondence, up to level secret, to include instructions, travel requests, training forms, and other security forms
Provide weekly activity/status reports to PMDetermines, monitors, and reviews costs, operational budgets and schedules, and manpower requirementsAssist with tracking changes concerning notices, instructions, MOA’s, and memorandumsEffectively participates on the engineering work team and supports other team members concerning experiment design, materials, equipment setup/maintenance and related issuesEstablishes work methodology and sequence to gather and organize data for review with appropriate engineer(s) in support of projectFormulates and recommends corrective action measures such as schedule revisions, manpower adjustments, fund allocations, and work requirementsGathers and organizes data for review with appropriate engineer(s) in support of project
Facilitate, coordinate, develop, submit, and track facility repair work orders and task orders as needed.
Facilitate, coordinate, develop, submitm and track 2-kilo submittal to TRF for production and service requestMaintains records, compiles reports, graphs, charts and related data in support of projectsMakes recommendations and coordinates and identifies resources required to meet defined project requirementsParticipates in the tactical planning for completion of identified project segment
Provide photography support for TPP projects.
Coordinate arrangements for meetings, briefings; all contractor interfaces with government organizationsPrepares and coordinates the plans and schedules for new or existing programsProvides technical expertise to customers, users or company personnel either at domestic or international field sitesRegular communication with other internal customers/work teamsResolves proposal preparation problems and assesses the progress against established plans and parametersServes as company liaison with customers on administrative and technical matters for assigned projectsSupports and participates in negotiations with customer and prepares Statements of Work (SOW) for new projectsUtilizes defined resources to meet project requirementsKNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Builds productive internal/external working relationshipsConsiderable ability to perform all responsibilities associated with the positionConsiderable professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues
