Provides direct patient care to patients with high risk pregnancies in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Prioritizes the nursing assessment and intervention by determining the patient's immediate condition or needs. Implements and monitors patient care plans.
Performs or assists physician with performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including genetic diagnostics, ultrasound imaging and select surgical procedures.
Administers medications/interventions as prescribed and evaluates and records progress.
Performs and/or monitors clinical research protocols to stay current with trends, technologies and advances in maternal fetal medicine.
Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Department of Health obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date, or Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) licensure required.
One or more of the following:
Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. ACLS replaces the BLS.
BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) or Advanced NRP can be accepted in lieu of NRP (with 12 month grace period).
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required ASN or BSN preferred
- Labor and Delivery experience preferred.
