The Pharmacy Resident assures appropriate selection, dosing, administration and monitoring of medication orders under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Reviews, verifies and enters physician orders into the patient medication profile.
Manages medication therapy protocols as a part of physician-pharmacist-nurse team.
Compounds and dispenses medications accurately for delivery to patient care areas.
Provides medication information and education to medical staff and patients.
Accomplishes the learning objectives listed in the individualized Residency Learning (RLS) model.
Documents intervention and its outcome for use in medication therapy quality improvement efforts.
Provides direct supervision of all technical pharmacy staff positions.
Currently enrolled or graduated from an ACPE accredited Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD) program To apply for this position, you must have previously matched with the SMVC PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Program through the National Matching Service
